Laura Talanti

Psychodynamic Counsellor
(MBACP accred.)

Individuals

Counselling and therapy can be helpful in tough times and when you feel stuck, and talking to a trained therapist can in itself bring relief – it will give you the opportunity to share all your thoughts and feelings with someone outside of your daily life, in a supportive and non-judgemental setting.

I will help you explore how your life experiences influence your current thoughts, feelings and relationships and help you make sense of your current difficulties. This understanding enables you to deal with difficult situations more effectively as it addresses the root causes of the problems you are experiencing.

The aim of psychodynamic counselling is to also explore aspects of yourself you are less conscious of – helping you to unravel, experience and understand your true, deep-rooted feelings in order to resolve them and move forward with a fresh outlook and to live a more fulfilling life.

I work with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem and feeling “not good enough”, loss and bereavement, work and career related issues, feelings of a lack of purpose or loss of direction in life, and issues around identity.

I hold a Pg Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling & Therapy from the Manor House Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy. I have worked as an honorary therapist in various organisations in the charity sector including a homeless charity, a bereavement service, and a holistic women’s health centre.
