Our Collective
The Therapeutic Rooms offer a unique practice space with individually designed therapy rooms, where therapists can establish and build their own private practice but also experience a sense of belonging and being part of something bigger.
Our aim is to create a warm and welcoming environment for both clients and therapists alike, where people can experience a sense of psychological safety and engage in therapeutic work away from their normal surroundings and usual distractions.
Our therapists have different areas of interests and experience, allowing clients the choice between a range of different practitioners, and therapists the opportunity to be part of a wider network of practitioners from a range of different modalities.
We strive to offer a service which is inclusive and accessible to people from different cultural backgrounds, world views, traditions and sexual orientations.
Some therapists can offer therapy in languages other than English, including: Dutch, French, German, Greek, and Urdu.
All therapists are fully qualified, and a member of a recognised professional body, such as BACP, UKCP, HCPC, BPC, BPS, and AFT, and adhere to their membership body’s code of ethics.

Individuals

I am an MBACP accredited counsellor, and trained at the Gestalt centre London. I offer warm acceptance, alongside a straight forward, no nonsense approach. My background is in healthcare and I’m also a writer, author and have facilitated creative writing workshops in healthcare and the community.
As a counsellor, I have worked in a rehab centre, as well as general counselling in private practice, dealing with diverse issues from addiction, relationship and work problems, anxiety and depression, loss and bereavement and issues around self-worth. My particular interest is in using creative ways to explore ‘stuckness’ or unfinished business from the past, that prevent living more fully in the present.

There are few places where our emotions and experiences can be spoken about with dignity and honour and heard with respect and understanding. I offer a safe and supportive environment to help you explore and understand the difficulties of your life and find healing. Our work together will help you to become clearer about what matters most to you, uncover a truer sense of who you are and what gives real meaning and satisfaction to your life.
Supportive and caring relationships make the healing of deep wounds possible. I pay close attention to the quality our relationship and look to find a balance between providing a supportive environment and challenging you when needed. This give us the chance to explore your feelings and emotions, and how to start living a more rewarding life.
Together we can explore the difficulties you experience, the choices you make and the recurring patterns you would like to change. In time old wounds begin healing, a sense of clarity emerges and you feel freer to move towards a more satisfying life with a greater sense of hope, peace, confidence and love.

I offer one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy for individual adults – providing a confidential and non-judgmental space to explore your concerns and gain insights. Together we can identify what you would like to gain from the work. From there, we can agree a suitable time-frame (whether short-term or open-ended) and a suitable approach for you (e.g. the level of support and challenge that would suit you).
I began my work as a psychotherapeutic practitioner through studying a philosophy-based approach to psychotherapy (existentialism). More recently, I have spent the past four years studying psychoanalysis and I am now undertaking a second training as a psychoanalyst (Lacanian orientation). My practice is currently informed through psychoanalytic and existential thinking. I am dedicated to continuing to develop as a practitioner, through reflection and through ongoing training.

Tina Greenhill
Counsellor and Psychotherapist, Systemic Practitioner
(MBACP accred.)
Individuals and Couples

I am a fully accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I trained as an integrative counsellor at MSc level, qualifying in 2005. Since then I have completed further extended trainings in Cognitive Therapy and Systemic (couples/family) Therapy. I attend numerous shorter trainings to continue developing as a practitioner.
I have 15 years of experience and have worked with many presenting issues in settings such as; private psychiatric hospitals, education, the NHS and the charity sector. I currently work in private practice with individuals and couples. My main interests are relationship difficulties, depression and anxiety. Alongside private practice, I also work for a charity providing specialist psychotherapy to individuals and couples affected by brain injury.
For me, the most important part of therapy is to experience a supportive and confidential space to explore and express oneself without judgement. This provides the foundation for working together to gain understanding and insight into problems and think about ways forward. I prefer to work integratively because it allows me to find an approach which will suit each person I work with. The theories I draw from help us to think together about your life experiences, and make connections to current struggles or unhelpful patterns of behaviour. I also provide psycho education and Cognitive Behavioural strategies to help people feel empowered.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I was awarded a Distinction in my Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (UEL).
I offer a safe, warm, and non-judgemental space for you to talk through your problems and difficulties.
I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on a variety of therapeutic techniques from different schools of psychotherapy depending on how I think I can help you best.
I offer therapy in two different settings. Traditional counselling takes place as you’d expect, in a private room in my practice. Movement therapy takes place outside, either running, walking, or even sitting on a park bench. You can stick to just one type of therapy for the duration of our work together, or if we decide it’s appropriate, you can switch between the two.
My main goal is to help you on your path to a happier life, and to equip you with the tools you need, so you can benefit from our sessions long after our time together has ended. Whether you are considering therapy at a time of crisis, or as a way to address an ongoing issue, I hope to help you find a better, happier, more hopeful path through life.

I am a Person-Centred counsellor practicing at The Therapeutic Rooms, Brick Lane, E8. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and offer counselling for individuals.
You may feel clear about what has brought you to seek counselling, but it’s just as likely that you may be feeling confused about it as well. I appreciate from my own search for a counsellor what a daunting task it can be so thank you for visiting my profile. If you’re interested in having counselling with me then our initial contact by email or phone will be followed by us meeting for a session to discuss in more detail what has brought you to counselling and how the person-centred approach could help. This is an opportunity for us to get a sense of the way we would work together and for you to ask any questions you may have. An initial session is £50 and £60 for each session afterwards.
I offer a safe and supportive space where you can share with me your feelings and experiences that you may not be able to share elsewhere. Working in a person-centred way, I will offer you empathy, acceptance and warmth as you explore what has brought you to counselling. My philosophy is that it is this relationship between us, our connection; that can help and heal. The people I have worked with have come to me for help with issues including:
Stress and anxiety
LGBTQ+ issues
Supporting the elderly

Transpersonal Psychotherapist
(UKCP reg.)
Individuals

I have had a private therapeutic practice since 2007, and have worked in the healing professions since 2000. I provide one to one work as a psychotherapist and am an accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
I specialise in offering an holistic approach in the treatment of depression, anxiety, bereavement, and addictions. This means working with all aspects of your experience, including mind, body and spirit as a means of helping you understand the underlying issues related to these difficulties. My experience of working with clients over a 10 year period is that this is one of the most effective methods of fostering lasting change.
I teach meditation and mindfulness, as well as creative visualisation techniques. Mindfulness techniques can be an effective means of coming into relationship with painful emotions or difficult memories. Used within a therapeutic context these can offer a supportive means for individuals to harness their own innate wisdom and self-understanding.
Alongside talking together, I may suggest the use of mindfulness, creative visualisation techniques, drawing, and dream work. These can be a powerful means toward helping you understand and fulfil more of your potential, and the discovery of your real self.
I currently see individual clients and my fees are £65 per session.

Counsellor and Psychotherapist
(MBACP accred.)
Individuals

I trained as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist at Goldsmiths College, University of London and the University of Greenwich, completing a Postgraduate Diploma in 2002, followed by an MSc in 2005.
I have been seeing clients for individual counselling and psychotherapy since 2001, and today have worked with the majority of problems people can encounter in life.
My experience spans across a range of different contexts and settings: I have worked as a therapist for several counselling centres across London, including Hammersmith and Fulham Mind, Wandsworth Bereavement Service and Drug and Alcohol Services for London (DASL); I worked as a Senior Therapist at the London Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and more recently as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist at St Mungo’s, where in addition to providing individual psychotherapy for clients with often complex presentations, I also offered consultancy to a mental health project and facilitated reflective practice groups/supervision for staff teams.
Today, I work solely in private practice, and enjoy the flexibility that brings. There are no arbitrary time restrictions imposed, but rather my clients come for as long as they feel they need to or want to and depending on what feels right in each particular situation.
Because everyone is different, I treat each person as an individual. Together we will try to get a better sense of what it is that is troubling you, so you can find new possibilities for moving forward. If you are interested to know more, then drop me an email, and we can see where to start from here.
Languages
I work in English and German.
Membership

The former explores the links between thoughts, feelings and behaviours and encourages clients to modify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours. The latter believes in the client’s own sense of personal agency and encourages them to access their own inner resources and strengths. In broad terms, this means that I can access a range of helpful interventions that can help clients break with unhelpful patterns and develop new coping styles.
I see clients for time-limited therapy as well as offering longer term contracts where appropriate. Many of my clients return to me for short periods when life events require them to seek further support and I welcome this level of flexibility.
I see adults, couples and adolescents experiencing psychological distress and in need of therapeutic support. I am a member of the British Psychological Society and am fully accredited as a chartered psychologist. I am also registered with the Health Care Professions Council as a Counselling Psychologist. I have over 10 years of experience within a variety of settings which include the NHS, private healthcare at The Priory, charity sector and the leading Eating Disorder Outpatient Unit at the South London and Maudlsey Hospital.
I am also an approved provider for AXA PPP Healthcare.

Hannah Joll
Integrative Counsellor
(MBACP reg.)
Individuals

I trained in Integrative Psychotherapy, which means that I draw on a range of approaches depending on what fits best with each individual and the issues they want to address. At the core of my clinical practice is my belief that our early environment shapes us on an unconscious level, sometimes causing us to repeat patterns of behaviour which may bring distress. My approach does not assume a one size fits all solution. Instead, it is about helping to put words to your experiences in order to find new meanings and perspectives.
In my practice, I offer a confidential space to speak freely. Our work together will aim to help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and address issues that may be troubling you.
As well as running a private practice, I also maintain an honorary placement in a South-London service offering longer-term therapy to people experiencing psychosis.

Integrative Counsellor

At different points in our lives we might feel lost and unsure what to do next. We might feel anxious or sad, perhaps stuck in ways of being that are affecting our relationships, work, or study. Therapy can help us understand ourselves better and heal from past pain and disappointments. Through this we may find contentment, direction, and self-acceptance.
As a therapist I am creative, compassionate, and curious. I offer a warm, safe, non-judgemental space in which to explore what is happening for you. Together we will focus on your emotions and ways of thinking to help you work through your individual experiences. This can help a deeper personal understanding to emerge that can support you to make changes in your life.
I draw on a wide range of approaches to tailor the therapy to who you are and what you want to explore. Most importantly, at the heart of my practice is a belief that change is possible for each of us; that we can all move from just surviving our lives to thriving.
Alongside my private practice I am a Counsellor at the Maya Centre and the Woman’s Trust, specialising in domestic abuse, childhood neglect, and abuse-based trauma.
I also have over 20 years of experience of working in public policy and have first-hand knowledge of the stress and anxiety that working in fast paced, competitive work environments can bring.
Therapy is personal and can be experienced differently by each of us. If you feel unsure whether it will be right for you, I offer an initial session for us to both see if we might work well together. Please get in touch to find out more.
Fees:
My fees are £70 for a 50 minute session.

Eleanor Bailey
Integrative Psychotherapist
Individuals

I have worked in mental health for twenty years, both with individuals and groups, initially using an Existential approach which is an exploratory, philosophical therapeutic approach.
Over the years I have integrated a range of other modalities, primarily psychodynamic approaches and Mentalisation based therapy.
I have experience working in both organisations and the NHS, where I primarily worked with clients who have suffered very undermining experiences in childhood, which have had aprofound impact on their identity and how they see themselves, their ability to manage their emotions and interpersonal relationships. It is here that I specialised in working with trauma, complex needs and PTSD both with individuals and groups.
My work in private practice is more varied, and includes clients with a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, addictions or those who have questions about life and relationships, their sexuality, parenting, or how to manage certain life transitions, such as a break-up, redundancy or significant life changes.
I work offering both short term and longer term, open ended therapy.
Choosing to invest in yourself is an important decision, I am able to offer a confidential space where I will value your time and equally invest in your future be it a road to recovery or an exploratory transition.
I hope our work together will give you the tools you need to progress in your future.
Whatever your particular concern, if you would like to find out more, then please send me an email or give me a call and we can arrange to meet for an initial consultation , so we can think about how best to move forward from here.

Louise Sunderland
Integrative Arts Psychotherapist
(HCPC reg.)
Individuals

I am a psychotherapist who facilitates working with art materials alongside talking. I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space to explore whatever questions, experiences, feelings or symptoms bring you to contemplate therapy. My hope is that through the therapeutic relationship you discover ways to feel better, more resilient, and to lead a more fulfilling life.
The use of the arts alongside the core of speech-based psychotherapy, can offer another resource to help you more fully articulate and process feelings and experiences. This is particularly helpful at times when words are hard to find, or are simply not enough. There is no need for you to have any previous arts experience or artistic skills to benefit from arts psychotherapy. The use of creativity can benefit anyone.
As an Integrative Art Psychotherapist I work with a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches, which allows me to think about each person that I work with holistically. Broadly speaking, I adopt humanistic (relational, person- centred) and psychodynamic and attachment focused theories (how the past impacts the present).
I currently work in the NHS and in private practice. Some of the areas I have worked with include, but are not limited to: anxiety; depression; relationship issues; family issues; stress; assertiveness; grief/loss/bereavement; self- esteem/ self worth; identity; work related issues; self harm; general malaise/ sense of stuckness.
If you are interested in knowing more, then send me an email, and we can think about where to start from here.
Qualifications
I have a Masters in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy, Diploma in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy, and a Counselling Skills Certification from the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) and the University of East London.
I am accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and follow their standards of ethics and confidentiality. I have regular supervision with a United Kingdom Council on Psychotherapy (UKCP) registered supervisor.
Fees
Initial consultation: £60 for 60 minutes
Ongoing sessions: £60 for 50 minutes

Abby Rawlinson
Integrative Counsellor
(MBACP reg.)
Individuals

My name is Abby Rawlinson and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with adults for both short-term and open-ended therapy and use a range of modern approaches depending on your needs.
The most important thing to me is providing an open and non-judgemental space where you can feel free to explore whatever you need. My approach is warm and collaborative and I am experienced in working with people who have a wide range of problems, including issues relating to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, family issues, relationship problems, work-related issues, addictions and life transitions. I also have 15 years of experience working in the media industry so have first-hand understanding of the particular demands, challenges and struggles of working in both corporate and creative settings.
Therapy can be daunting at first and many people wonder what it might be like. If you’re interested to know more then drop me an email and we can take it from there.

Amy Jo Spitalier
Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
(BPC, UKCP reg.)
Individuals

Certain life events, transitions, or longstanding struggles can cause our usual ways of coping to break down, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and extremely distressed. To continue to function, drugs, alcohol, food, self harm, sex, social media, a depressive state or abusive behaviour can be used to numb the distress or stand in for what feels missing. But this often leads to feelings of guilt, shame, anger or blame – whether of oneself or others. It can feel like being trapped in a loop of unsatisfactory or harmful relationships, or like reaching a dead-end, with confusion about finding a meaningful path ahead.
Grounded in experience working with all of the issues above, I am interested in helping you understand your current situation, and using our joint reflection help you find a way forward to change and grow instead of repeating painful patterns. Having your own personal story and unique set of feelings and circumstances addressed in a safe, empathic and confidential setting can lead to a very different, freeing perspective. To achieve this I offer ongoing as well as time-limited psychodynamic therapy to adults of all ages and identities, and also work via Skype.
In addition to private practice I am an Honorary Psychotherapist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and worked previously in an NHS drugs and alcohol service. I hold an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, and a PgDip in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from WPF Therapy. A parallel longstanding role in the creative arts has given me direct insight into the challenges of living authentically in a world that can feel ruled by appearance and image.

I am an experienced relational integrative therapist. My training means that I can draw on a range of approaches, to uniquely suit you and your needs. My approach is collaborative, warm and down to earth.
People come to therapy for all different reasons. You may want therapy to help with a current crisis point in your life, for example, or to deal with issues from your past or childhood (including but not limited to, trauma and abuse), to look at relationship or family problems, or because you are experiencing depression or anxiety.

As your therapist, I will fully listen to you and the difficulties you are having and help you to make sense and meaning of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. With greater clarity comes increased self-understanding, inner cohesion and conscious choice over our lives and relationships going forward.
In our time together, I will attend to the whole of you; your lived experience of the here and now and the wider context and history of your life. MBA, BA (Hons), BSc UWL, Dip BCNH
I am a Nutritional Therapy practitioner registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) as well as with Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I have a deep curiosity for and specialise in gut health. Science and research again and again are proving gut health to be one, if not, the most important pillar of good health and wellbeing. My areas of interest (with or without diagnosis) that can positively be addressed with Nutritional Therapy interventions are:
• unexplained fatigue
• anxiety, depression, moods
• sluggish energy
• digestive related chronic conditions
• feeling suboptimal on a daily basis
I am passionate about working with people who are at loss as to why they feel the way they do, despite trying and following many recommendations without satisfying results.

We all have times in our lives which can feel overwhelming. Sometimes we feel stuck or as though we are repeating past events or relationship patterns. Other times we may feel like we are being haunted by the past and unable to live fully in the present.
I offer a warm and non-judgemental space where we can explore together what is happening for you. I will listen to you, help you think about the issues you are facing and help you be with difficult feelings. Over time you will deepen your understanding of how you relate to yourself, other people, and the world around you. I hope this will help you discover new ways of living your life more fully and with greater freedom.
I trained at the Minster Centre, one of Europe’s leading integrative counselling and psychotherapy training institutes. As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches to suit your needs. In my previous career I was a finance professional. This gives me an insight into what it is like to work in a highly competitive and cognitive environment, with an appreciation of the possible impact of the lack of creative output on living your life.
Once you get in touch with me, we can arrange for an initial consultation, either face to face or online. This is a chance for us to get to know each other and to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you. It will last for fifty minutes, we can discuss your reasons for coming and how we might work together, as well as address any queries you may have.
