Welcome. I am a relational integrative therapist, and I believe in the collaborative power of relationships. I see therapy as something we develop together, where the relationship between us can become an important part of understanding your experiences and exploring new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I offer a confidential, non-judgemental and compassionate space where you can explore whatever may be bringing you to therapy. I believe compassion allows us to approach experiences that may feel painful, difficult or hard to understand with curiosity rather than judgement.
As an integrative therapist, I have trained in Humanistic, Attachment, Contemporary and Classical Psychoanalytic approaches. I also draw on neuroscience, psychobiological research and an awareness of the body, paying attention to our somatic experiences and the ways our bodies can hold powerful messages. I work from a trauma-informed perspective, bringing these different approaches together according to your individual needs. I don’t believe therapy is one-size-fits-all.
Therapy is not about blame. It can be an opportunity to understand what has happened in your life and how your experiences may have shaped your sense of self, your relationships and the ways you respond to the world around you. Perhaps ways of coping that once helped you are no longer serving you in the same way. You may be struggling with relationship patterns, self-esteem, anxiety, stress or a particularly critical inner voice. I offer a space to explore these experiences and whatever may be causing you pain, sadness or concern.
I have a particular interest and experience in working with people of all genders around fertility, conception, pregnancy, birth and parenthood. This includes fertility difficulties, planned and unplanned pregnancy, termination, miscarriage, involuntary childlessness, traumatic birth, stillbirth, and pre- and postnatal depression.
These experiences can bring profound and sometimes unexpected emotions, including grief, shame, guilt, anxiety and uncertainty. They can also affect our relationships, our sense of identity and our expectations of ourselves and the future. I offer a space where these feelings can be explored openly, helping you to feel heard and supported rather than silenced or alone.
Alongside my private practice, I have provided counselling for a pregnancy-related charity in Central London. I have also worked as a therapist at a renowned dance and music conservatoire and provided befriending support to NHS patients attending an early intervention in psychosis unit.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working within the photographic industry. This gives me a particular understanding of the pressures and challenges that can accompany working in the creative industries, including their impact on identity, self-esteem, relationships and wellbeing.
Fees
An initial consultation is £80. If we decide to work together, ongoing therapy is from £80 for a 50-minute session.
