I’m an attachment-based, psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and trained at The Bowlby Centre, London.
I understand that making the decision to start therapy can feel daunting. I offer a warm, welcoming space where you can come as you are and share whatever you’re going through at your own pace.
As an attachment-based therapist, I’m especially interested in how our early relationships — particularly with caregivers — and the ways we adapted as children continue to shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we experience the world.
Psychoanalytic therapy helps us explore the deeper, often unconscious, struggles that influence how we feel and act. Life can be complex and painful at times. I’m here to support you in approaching different parts of yourself and the layers of your experience with curiosity and compassion.
Together, we can gently explore hidden feelings, patterns of relating (sometimes passed down through generations), and ways of coping that may be getting in the way of your healing. This process invites you to reconnect with parts of yourself that feel distant, and to open up to thoughts, feelings, tensions and desires you may have pushed aside.
My trauma-informed approach recognises that our bodies often carry and express the imprint of what we’ve been through — whether that’s from single traumatic events or more ongoing painful, repeated experiences. With care and sensitivity, I aim to help you gently process these experiences and reconnect with a sense of safety and well-being.
As we work together, you may begin to feel a deeper sense of self-understanding and acceptance. You might notice yourself growing more curious and becoming more attuned to your feelings, more experienced in navigating a broader range of emotions, more sensitive to the messages your body sends, and more confident in setting boundaries that support you.
This unfolding process can create room to meet your present experience with greater openness, compassion, and ease, and more space for new ways of being. Over time, these changes can foster a sense of aliveness, help you feel more connected — to yourself, to others, and to the world around you — and better equipped to move towards a life that feels nourishing and fulfilling.
