I am a Clinical Psychologist, I have extensive expertise of working with a range of mental health difficulties. I have worked in the NHS for 15 years. I see people struggling with low mood and depression, anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder, health anxiety and panic; as well as relationship difficulties, and trauma. I have lots of experience of adapting therapy to neurodiverse needs.

In my work I like to get to know your history, context and relationships to make sense of what has been going on for you and how these things may relate to your daily emotional experiences. I will need to get to know you first, to hear a little about your life, and the people in it, what’s important to you, what has and has not helped in the past, before figuring out together what might be useful.

In my NHS career I have been working with people struggling with suicidality, self harm as well as symptoms associated with psychosis. I am trained in several evidence based psychological interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy and Open Dialogue. I am a committee member of the British Psychological Society Faculty for Children and Young People.

After an initial telephone consultation I tend to offer several sessions initially to make sense of your difficulties, then come up with a plan together for therapy. Finding someone you feel safe and comfortable with is essential for any therapy to work.

Please get in touch to arrange an initial conversation if you are interested in working together.
