Are you feeling weighed down, struggling with anxiety, depression, loss, or going through a major life change? Maybe feeling lonely or stuck in the same patterns of behaviour that make it hard to move forward? Deep down you know that you want something different but somehow you can’t believe in yourself enough to work out what to do.

Perhaps you are not sure whether your personal relationships are healthy, and you want space to explore what is right for you. Maybe life feels like it is changing, and you are no longer in control. You might be so used to putting others first that it is difficult to hold on to your own self-worth and the value that you bring, leaving the future feeling uncertain.

Add in experiences of sexism, micro-aggressions, abuse, and ageism, and your confidence can be knocked. It’s not much fun feeling anxious, depressed, or stressed all the time.

It may be hard to speak to friends and family because you don’t want to burden them, are not sure what to say, or end up getting advice from them that feels unhelpful.

My Approach

People tell me I’m very easy to talk to. I have a relaxed, collaborative approach, offering a non-judgmental space for you to find clarity about the challenges you are experiencing.

Whether you are looking for short term therapy to help you get over your current life problems, or more open-ended therapy to delve a bit deeper, I will be alongside you as you talk about your worries to support you to find a way to say ‘yes’ to what you want in life and to feel more comfortable saying ‘no’ when needed so that you can embrace your future with confidence.

Experience

Alongside my private practice I am a Psychotherapist at the Maya Centre, working with minoritized women who have experienced domestic abuse, adverse childhood experiences, and sexual assault or rape. I also run psycho-educational groups focused on supporting wellbeing and understanding the effects of trauma on our bodies and sense of selves.

I have a particular interest in working with women who have experienced sexual violence or abuse. I work in a trauma informed way and pay attention to mind, body, feelings, and intuition to help create a greater sense of safety and reconnection.

I am also a trustee at The Minster Centre, the pioneers of Integrative Therapy training in the UK, using my experience to help ensure that future psychotherapists are trained to a high standard.

Qualifications

Masters (MA) Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling
Advanced Diploma Integrative Psychotherapy

I am registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Fees

50 minute sessions, including initial consultation, cost £85. I work in person or online.
